Network School is, in fact, near Singapore

Criticizing Network School for claiming it's near Singapore instead of saying it's in Malaysia shows ignorance of the significance of JS-SEZ in current Southeast Asian economy.

The criticisms are legit if:

• ⁠Network School is located in Kuala Lumpur or Penang or others but claims to be near Singapore or
• ⁠There is no official government initiative between Malaysia and Singapore at the location of Network School at all.

But the truth is, none of the above checks. Network School is located within an intentional zone established by both Malaysian and Singaporean governments as Johor-Singapore Special Economic Zone, so none of the criticisms are substantive.

As a Malaysian, I do not get offended when a business in JS-SEZ refer to their location as "near Singapore" and I suggest we shouldn't be, because that's basically the most fundamental benefit that we seek as Malaysian government in this deal, which is sharing Singapore's global high quality business destination reputation.

The most important thing with this project is the increase of the amount of high quality local companies, actually learning by competing with international ones, and thus creating more high quality jobs for local Malaysians. Bashing Network School, or any other businesses, for promoting JS-SEZ to the world by claiming it's near Singapore, is not just irrational, but very damaging for us Malaysians in achieving actual economic growth, especially in the age of AI.

What's really dragging us back is not white people but this exact disability to see the bigger picture and keeps getting stuck on petty issues to virtue signal instead of making actual gradual progress for each of our own future grandchildren.
